Overview

The Belgian Federal Statistics Export is a standardised feature designed to help hotels in Belgium comply with reporting requirements mandated by the Belgian federal government. It facilitates the collection, formatting, and submission of data related to accommodation statistics.

The export collects anonymised or aggregated data about hotel guests, such as nationality, number of stays, check-in and check-out dates, and purpose of stay.

Settings

The export requires a custom value list for the ‘Purpose of visit’ guest profile field.

To create a custom value list, go to menu Settings -> All settings -> Guest profile fields, edit the “ visit_purpose” field and paste> in the “Values list” field  the below values one by one:

  • 1: Leisure
  • 2: Business
  • 3: Groups

The export settings are located in ‘Reports’ -> ‘All Reports’ -> ‘Localisations’ -> ‘Belgium Federal Statistics’

In the ‘Settings’ tab, you need to configure the following:

  • Guest visit purpose field - visit_purpose
  • Default visit purpose - enter 1,2 or 3 depending on what you would like to set as a default value in case the field is not defined in the guest profile
  • Default country - select a country to be used by default in case the field is not defined in the guest profile

Export

In the export tab, you have the following available filters:

  • From date / To date - defines the period for which you want to generate the export
  • Period type - select which bookings to be included (Arrival, Departure, In hotel)
  • Verified - which guest profiles should be considered. Depends on the ‘Verified” checkbox in the guest profile
  • Completed - select if only completed registration cards should be considered

The generated .csv file includes the following data in its columns:

  • Guest Country
  • Purpose of visit
  • Departure date
  • Length of stay
  • Number of adults+children
