Setup requirements

  • Clock IoT Device(s)
  • Datecs DP25, DP50, DP150, FP650, FP700, FP800, WP50, WP500
  • DxPrint driver (driver download)
  • Purchase a license with DxPrint at www.dxprint.ro . Each fiscal device requires a separate license.
  • PC with static local IP address with Windows, Linux or MacOS

Important: If you have multiple fiscal printers, please install their drivers on separate PCs.

Setup steps

1. Connect the Clock IoT device to your local network, ensuring it is on the same network as the PC with the DxPrint driver installed. If you have PCs with drivers on different networks, you will need one IoT device per network.

2. Connect your Datecs printer/s to your local network, the device should be connected by TCP/IP or directly on PC COM port.

The printer should be ready for work.

3. Download, install, and set up DxPrint.

Note: Please contact DxPrint support in case you need assistance with the installation and settings of the driver.

3.1. You can configure the driver from it's interface or config.json

The driver should be in embedded mode with activated httpServerActiv.

3.1.1 If doing the configuration though the config.json:

  • Line: 4: "port": select printer communication.
    • if printer is connected by COM port (/dev/ttyS0 for Linux): enter "COM1"
    • if the printer is connected by TCP/IP: enter the printer IP address along with the port. The default printer port is 3999. Example: "tcp://192.168.12.179:3999". Communication through port 3999 should be allowed in your network.
  • Line 19: "httpServerActiv": true,
  • Line 24: "embedded": true
  • Line 20: "httpPort": 8080 - if needed change, default is 8080. Communication through port 8080 (or the one you want to use) should be allowed in your network.
  • Line 83:  - Add your Dxprint license key, instead of "Cumpara licenta de pe www.dxprint.ro." (there is 14 days trial period)

3.2 Start Dxprint service from the driver interface or your operation system terminal and try to open from the internet browser the printer address (in our case 192.168.12.179:3999) If the setup is successful you should see the following page:

4. Open your PMS/POS account, navigate to Settings -> Fiscalization -> Datecs Romania (DxPrint)-> Add new

  • Add a name for your fiscal printer, select the IoT device, and enter the IP address and port of the computer where the DxPrint driver for this printer is installed (NOT the fiscal printer TCP/IP parameters).
  • Create payment mapping between your PMS/POS account and DxPrint.

5. Setup your fiscalization settings from Settings -> Fiscalization -> Romanian fiscal policy

Done!

Additional notes:

  • One DxPrint license can work with one fiscal device but can be accessed from multiple working stations.
  • The interface accepts fiscal requests only with "RON" folios currency.
  • Reports can be reached from All Settings -> Fiscalization -> Datecs Romania (DxPrint)-> Your printer -> Operations.
  • In the attachment, you can find DXPrint error codes list.
  • Error: write tcp 192.168.12.xxx:42376->192.168.12.xxx:3999: write: broken pipe - service not available, should be restarted.
  • DxPrint full documentation in Romanian.
